Freewire/20s/Zumo 590/iPhone Configuration

I have the following components that I am trying to get work in unison.

• 2 x 20S headsets
• Freewire-01
• RoadTech(HD version of Garmin) Zumo 590
• iPhone 7

The GPS needs bluetooth connection to iPhone for data plan usage. It uses this for live weather and traffic updates.

What I am looking for is:

• GPS  - turn-by-turn, phone calls and audio source
• Music streaming and intercom to passenger
• CB utilization thru Freewire

Regardless of how I have configured them to date I am not able to get all the functionality from the GPS or headset to work. If I put the GPS into the second mobile position on the 20S and my phone in the first position then I have nothing for the Freewire.

 

Please advise

  Since no one at Sena has answered, I'll take a guess.

  Here are some things to try:

  Alternative 1

  -Pair iPhone to 20S as Phone 1

  -Pair Freewire to 20S as Phone 2

  -Pair GPS to 20S as GPS pairing to 20S

  -Pair GPS to iPhone

  Alternative 2

  -Pair iPhone to Infotainment (Infotainment should recognize the music on your phone.)

  -Pair Freewire to 20S as Phone 1

  -Pair GPS to 20S as

  a) Phone 2 or

  b) GPS

  Pair GPS to Phone

  Alternative 3

  -Put all your music on a USB thumb drive and plug that into the Infotainment

  -Pair the iPhone to the GPS

  -Pair the GPS to the 20S as

  a) GPS

  b) Phone 1

  -Pair the Freewire to the 20S as Phone 1 or 2

  I like to pair my phone to the 20S instead of the Infotainment so I have all the features of the phone.

  Pairing the phone to the GPS gives you some of the phone features and you can call a POI from the GPS

  Putting the music on a thumb drive makes it directly available to you and the passenger without having to hop through another device.

  I have no idea if any of this will work. The 20S has so many configuration options, that it requires a lot of experimentation.

  I would recommend doing a factory reset of both the 20S and the Freewire in between alternatives. Also, delete the pairings on the phone and GPS each time you start over.

  Sena says you must do a factory reset of both the 20S and Freewire each time you update the firmware on either device.

  I would suggest the following pairing

  Pair the 20S to Freewire using phone pairing

  Pair the GPS to 20S, using secon phone pairing

  Pair the phone to the GPS. The GPS can channel phone calls to the 20S

  The 20S might not be able to maintain all the connection if you pair the phone to the 20S
