FM Notifications
Hi guys
Just want to submit a feature request I have been talking to the Sena Help Desk about over the last month or so. All is contained in the ticket number 148757.
Fundamentally though, the request is to have the FM Radio notifications at the same volume as the normal "Hello, Goodbye" notifications. I have completed factory resets, tried all the presets and even returned the 20S unit for a replacement one and the same issue was in that one also. This points to a firmware issue.
If you are travelling at any speed above 20mph and you turn your 20s on, you can clearly hear "Hello!" and "Phone Connected" as it boots up as it links to my Samsung Galaxy S7 Edge. However, if you turn the FM radio on, the audio of "FM on" is barely audible. The only way to make it audible is if the radio volume is already up uncomfortably loud as the FM radio notifications are linked to the radio volume.
I think this is an issue in the firmware that needs addressing and requires a change The FM notifications should be linked to the overall notifications volume level and not to the FM radio volume. As mentioned above, there is greater detail in ticket number 148757 and the dept above the help desk has agreed, it is a firmware issue and suggested I submit the feature request.
Thanks for all the help so far.
Best regards

What gives? Its November and I just plugged in the 20s and no firmware update, let alone the FM notification one I submitted back in April! Use the 20s daily and aside from the RDS being pants, the FM notifications are next to useless. Come on lads, any chance you could take a look again! :)

Hi lads
It has been over 15 months since the feature request was submitted and ther has been one single firmware upgrade I can remember, correct me if I am wrong. IN all that time, still nothing with the FM notifications. Everything in my first post still stands. It's a PITA to be honest, and i use the 20s nearly every day and I have done 15k km's this year alone. As the KM's roll by, it makes me want to recommend this device less and less.
So, guys. Come on. I am a radio engineer in the mobile phone industry here in Ireland and if I had breched my SLA by 15 months, I would have been fired a long time ago. I have given you all the evidence, all the ideas, direction, hell... If I knew more code, I would hack in myself and fix it and release it to the forum for nothing.
So please, can someone take a look before I and anyone else I talk to in my large biking fraternity move to another competitor with better customer service?
Thanks for listening... or if you are wearing a 20s in FM mode, maybe not so much.
