1.7.5 Music issues on Sena 20s
I've had my Sena 20S for about 2 months now, and I've been loving it except for a couple small issues. About 2 weeks ago I upgraded the firmware to 1.7.5 (from 1.7.1 or 1.7.2). Now fairly frequently I will use the voice prompts to start FM radio or Stereo Music, the voice will indicate I have tuned my radio station then nothing.... I can change stations, the voice prompt tells me I have changed stations and there is no sound.
The same when I tune Stereo Music, it says I have tuned stereo music then no sound.
Turning up and down the volume makes no difference.
The only fix is to turn the headset on and off. After 2 or 3 times I can generally get it to start working, but it is a huge pain while you are commuting in traffic to have to keep giving commands.
For now I have downgraded to 1.7.1 (as of today.. haven't tested it to make sure it doesn't happen again). 1.7.2 only showed that it added mulilanguage support and I don't need that.
BTW - my only other problem with the 20s is that while the music cranks up when it's noisy, the voice prompts seem to stay quiet. I have to memorize what the voice prompts should be and try to give the right command at the right time because I haven't memorized all the the wheel commands yet, and it doesnt help if you're trying to reset your device while driving 75 mph and aren't sure if it is on or off because you can't hear what the voice is saying.

I'm also having a similar problem with 1.7.5. If we're playing music, then the mic won't key and you can't talk to anyone else. If they talk first, it allows you to respond but then fades back out and you can't talk. I think version 1.7.5 is totally broken for audio multi-tasking.

Did you do a factory reset after update? re adjust audio multitasking sensitivity so that you can activate mic as factory reset resets this. Kind of trial and error but when you get it right your normal voice should activate the intercom.

I have a different problem with the firmware since 1.7.2, With my Garmin Zumo 665 connected through GPS pairing, every new set of turn by turn instructions is blasted into my ears at max volume. It's so loud it hurts. I have to turn it down every single time. It doesn't happen, though, if I'm on an intercom chat. This firmware is complete garbage and SENA seems to be making zero effort to fix it. They are on to their next product, which I will not be buying given the junk firmware they put out and zero customer service.

I found the notification to be painfully loud,, so on my 595 I went into the mixer and turned the navigation/prompt volume down to 10% and that seems to have solved that problem.
Now if I could only get music sharing to work properly instead of breaking up . . . . and if I could get support for additional paired phones - I only need two to be active at one time, but I need support for at least three in total because the Zumo 595 (and 590, 660 and others) HFP channel is so damned bad.0 -
Same problem for me. I have a 20s with Zumo 395. Zumo paired as GPS. iPhone 6s paired as media to 20s. iPhone paired with Zumo as phone. When playing music from iPhone to Sena and there is an interrupt from the GPS the instruction is very loud. Adjusting the volume to a lower setting during the instruction will reduce the volume but the next instruction will be very loud again. The adjustment of the volume is not saved on the Sena. This is very annoying and painful! Dear Sena is there a solution for this issue?

Changing the setting Navigation App Support to disabled solved the problem.
