One headset keeps stopping working
Hi there. I've noticed that every so often, one of the headsets (the right one) in my helmet stops working. I've found that if I wiggle the SMH10 unit it sometimes comes back to life. Upon removing the Bluetooth unit from the helmet clamp, I can see that some of the metal contacts are slightly discoloured. I've found that trying to scrape them with something long and metallic seems to clean them and they work fine again then for a few weeks until it happens again.
Is there a reason why I'm getting stuff build up on the contacts ? How can I prevent this? And is there a better way to clean the contacts ? It's just past 12 months old my headset and I hoped to get more use out of it than this?
Yours,
Gareth
PS: I have also tried using a different Bluetooth unit on it and I still have the same problem. My original unit works fine on the other halves headset which is rarely used to be fair and still looks brand new... I'm happy that the fault is with the headset and not the unit.

mine would stop working on one side problem was the helmet clamp needed to be shimmed . the top of clamp was touching helmet causing poor contact at contacts. hope that helps . george
