is it possible to upgrade firmware in SMH10 v1 purchased in 2010.

just purchased SM10 to pair my Honda Goldwing radio to SMH10 . Having problems with music cutting out (loosing blue tooth connection?) especially on the passenger unit.

  It is not possible to update the firmware on a SMH10 if it does not have the micro-USB port installed on it. However, to try and fix the issue of the music cutting out please perform a Factory Reset on both the SMH10 and the SM10 then pair the 2 devices back together again.

  Factory Reset for SMH10:

  1. To restore the SMH10 to factory default settings, press and hold the Phone Button for 12 seconds until the LED shows solid red and you hear double beeps.
  2. Then within 5 seconds, press the Jog Dial to confirm reset. The headset will be restored to factory setting and switched off automatically.
  3. If you don’t press the Jog Dial within 5 sec.

   

  Factory Reset for SM10.

  1. Power on the SM10, press the Pairing Button on the SM10 for 14 seconds until the Blue and Red LED is rapidly flashing.
  2. Within 10 seconds, press Pairing Button to confirm reset. The SM10 will be restored to factory settings and returns to standby mode.
  3. If you don’t press the Pairing Button within 10 seconds, the reset attempt is canceled and the SM10 returns to standby mode.
