About 20S

Dear Sir/Madam,

                                 In late July 2014, I bought a pair of Sena 20S in Singapore. Please refer to attach PDF file for serial numbers. I attach the Senas to a Nolan helmet and a Schulbert C3Pro. Both Sena S20 work well during our trip to Ko Samui, Thailand. However, a problem surface when we remove the units from the brackets mounted on the helmets and try to re-attach them again after resetting the Sena when it hangs. The catch on the bracket would not lock into the receivers. After many attempts, we gave up and brought them back to the dealer. The dealer was kind enough to replace a new bracket for us. After installing and attaching the receiver to the bracket, the receiver was released from the mounting to test if its OK. The catch and release mechanism failed yet again, just after one release. The dealer replace the bracket for us a second time, within 1/2 an hour.

 

Sir, we were told by the dealer that this is a common and known problem with this edition of 20S. I'm now afraid to remove the receiver for cleaning or maintenance lest the mechanism fail again.

 

May I know if how you are addressing this problem?
