Why can I not start my SMH10R after attempting to update the Firmware

Why can I not start my SMH10R after attempting to update the Firmware. 

I did as I was told by the software and now I can not even start the device at all

  The Sena support told me the following:

  "Please un-install the device manager first and re-install it back and repeat the whole process. It will just continue with the update."

  Indeed I used another PC to do that and it worked!!! My X-Com now can be turned on again and is up to date. Additionally I had to use a USB 2 slot. Using a USB 3 slot the software wasn't able to detect the device.
