Thank you for your suggestion. We will do the feasibility of mixing music with other conversation (intercom or phone). We will keep you informed later.

    Thank you.

I think this is quite tightly coupled with a desire for audio sharing between rider and pillion and also the option of having side-tone.

This topic is similar to changing the audio priority.  Giving the user the ability to specify the priority of each audio source would be extremely convenient and would fulfill each user’s specific needs such as having the intercom remain active while GPS directions are provided at a reduced audio level.

I would like to see the audio and intercom mixed; the audio muted, not removed, when intercom is used; and the audio 'returned' to volume after 5 to 10 seconds of silence, not 20.

Yes! Like the Autocom that I just replaced with the Sena....music would mute whenever pillion & I were speaking, then come back up when conversation stopped for a period. Really miss that feature!!

This would be very nice. I want to share the GPS in my phone, while still being able to talk. Quite annoying to choose between directions are discussing the directions.

I want to be able to listen to music and use the intercom at the same time AND WITHOUT sharing music to my riding partner.

    M. Davis, that is currently a standard feature of the Sena 20S (at least since firmware update 1.4.1 in my experience), called "Audio Multitasking."

(If you change your mind, you can chose to share your music with your riding partner but the option is off by default. )

I should have specified I have the model 10 not the 20.  Sorry.

Both were available when I bought them earlier this year.  I wish it were clear in the marketing materials what this limitation was before I bought the 10's.  Now I am stuck with still having to wear wired earphones. :(

Sena- it has been over three years with no response.  If it is not possible to add this feature to the SHM10 , you should post about it and let people stop hoping for it to come....

I'm assuming that Sena will not develop Audio Multitasking or Paul's suggestion of auto-muting the audio when someone talks over the intercom for non-20S Sena models.

It would cannibalize their 20S sales if there was no distinct advantage between the models.

    M. Davis, you could probably try sending in a ticket regarding misinformation in the marketing materials for the SMH10 and see what they do. Suing them would be too much of a hassle, but reselling your 10s on the classifieds to recuperate some funds for a 20S (or something else) would be a quicker and less painful process.

In my experience, their response times for tickets are much faster than forum responses.

The Audio Multitasking feature is only available for the 20S as it was designed with that feature in mind. However, the SMH10 was not originally designed to use the Audio Multitasking feature and it is not possible to add this feature in a firmware update due to the hardware limitation of the SMH10.

Sena, thank you for the information.  I will stop hoping for it now :)
