Reduced volume to allow for high sensitivity ear buds
I would like a greater range of volume output adjustment on the low side.
Here's my problem: I'm trying to use my 20S with (a) BMW's audio system on an R1200RT, and (b) custom sound reducing earbuds. I'm finding that the signal from the BMW audio system to way too loud, even the very lowest Sena volume setting. The BMW audio system does not allow the output volume to be adjusted once it's feeding through bluetooth. So that leaves only the Sena adjustment. I know this is a problem resulting from the high sensitivity of the ear buds (they're very good ones), combined with BMW's somewhat clunky system. But it would be great if Sena could easily allow for reduced volume with (say) a firmware upgrade.
Thanks!

I agree with Mark. I have a BMW and suffer the same fate. Not bad when riding but when stopped it is not possible to hear people or other things going on around you.
Thanks

When using ear buds. With 20s the lowest volume is too loud.
any progress on this issue.

I'm still experiencing this issue with firmware version 1.7.5. I have custom molded in-ear monitors, and the lowest volume setting is nearly painful.
In addition to excessive volume for low impedence noise-isolating earbuds, I also notice that audio quality of music from a my phone is "muddy", like a poor quality bass booster is being applied. This only occurs with a bluetooth music source (iphone 5s in my case). Internal audio sources like the FM radio sound more clear.
When using a cheap $10 pair of earbuds, the music actually sounds pretty good. I'm guessing that some kind of bass booster is applied to the music to over-compensate for low bass output of cheap earbuds, combined with the fact that wind/helmet noise drowns out bass sounds more than treble.
But when using a $500+ pair of custom noise-isolating IEM that are capable of reproducing high quality sound, I would expect the sound to be *better* than a $10 pair of earbuds, not worse! My earbuds produce great bass, and block out a majority of wind noise, so they don't need any "help" producing balanced sound.
I think 2 enhancements are necessary for high quality, low-impedence earbud/IEM users:
1) An option to substantially scale down the volume range of the earbud port.2) An option to disable any "enhancements", basss booster, etc., being applied to music sources.
