SR10 Extension Cable for Radios
The 2 ft to 4ft extension cable to connect Midland GMRS OR CB is not long enough for my application of mounting the SR10. A 4 ft extension would have a lot of utility.
Sena makes a ptt extension cable for the SR10 so an extension an extension cable for the radio makes sense.

I'm in exactly the same boat. I want to mount the SR10 under the seat and have the handheld up on the dash. Wondering if it will be easier to get an extension for the radio end....

I made an extension cable using a 3 ft 2.5mm cable with a 2.5mm female on one end and 2.5mm male stereo jack on the other end. Added the same 3.5mm cable with 3.5mm female and male jacks respectively. 0 -
That is exactly what I was thinking. Extending the 3.5 and 2.5mm cables instead. Save a lot of space in the glovebox. 0 -
I have now tested my cable harness I made--see my August 22 comment. The extension works.

I have a UNIDEN UH950s and it has mono 2.5 and 3.5mm points into it. I've got a spare PTT extension cable which will be perfect and will get a 3.5mm plug X 1.5m long mono cable from an electronics store. Perfect, though not as waterproof as the proper plug, at the radio end. My other thought was to cut and splice a new cable extension from an unused earpiece adapter, which canpme with the radio, which is waterproof into the radio. Same deal, this is better than having the Sr10 unit on the dash, while I'm at it I need to fabricate a permanent PTT button, I've run out of handlebar room on the left. See pic.
