Audio multi tasking for SENA 10U
We are using the SENA 10U intercom with my wife and we tour around quite a bit. I have my iPhone, the bike's GPS and my wife's 10U connected. the default setting of the 10U is that each time the GPS gives turn-by-turn instruction, the intercom cuts off. Just was wondering if there will be an option in future for a software update, where instead of cutting out the intercom completely, the intercom conversation stays on, just go quieter in the back ground during the turn-by-turn instruction of the GPS. This would be a very nice feature to have, because it gets very frustrating after a while when conversations are constantly cut out due to GPS instructions.

Unfortunately it is not possible to add that kind of functionality to the 10U due to the way the hardware is designed. This feature is only available on the 20S because of the dual core architecture of the computer chip inside of the headset. One of the cores on the 20S is used for Bluetooth functions like phone calls, music, the FM radio, GPS directions etc. and the other core is used for the intercom. This makes it so that the 20S can use both cores at the same time which allows someone to listen to music and communicate over the intercom at the same time for instance. The 10U however only has a single core in it's computer chip so it is only able to use one feature at one time which means that one function like talking over the intercom will interrupt another function like listening to music.

So are you likely to add the dual coil chip to future generations of the 10u?
