SRL with mesh for Shoei Neotec II manufactured 2018
A friend bought a Shoei Neotec II helment and wants to install a Sena SRL intercom with mesh.
When I checked the helmet was manufactured in 2018 and from what I understand SRL2 intercom only fits helmets manufacutred from May 2019 and onwards.
Is is possible to buy SRL intercom (incuding Mesh) for Neotec II helmets manufactured before 2019?
And if not; has anyone succeded installing an SRL2 into a pre 2019 Neotech II helmet?

each device was made for a specific helmet following their specific manufacturing dates, this is unfortunately something that was decided by SHOEI as they changed the design slightly after march 8th 2019. you will have to either retrofit it or update your helmet to work with the srl2.

Hello - I recently purchased a Shoei Neotec II helmet with a flip face manufactured July 2018. I am interested in purchasing the SRL-02 headset, but see the SRL-02 is only compatible with the Neotec II manufactured 2019 or later. Can I ask what us incompatible? Will the boom mike clips not fit or other parts that are a different shape from the original SRL for Neotec (SP51) model? I do not require any warranty but wondering if anyone has successfully retrofitted the SRL2 to a pre 2019 Neotec II? Thank you!
