    Hello,

    you will need to check to see if your firmware is up to date on your Chieftain. This has actually resolved a lot of issues with Indian users using our sena devices.

    Hi, I have Bought Sena 21B Bluetooth for the new HJC helmet I have bought 2 months back. Today I used the helmet and blue tooth for the first time on a riding holiday in Thailand.

    However after 3-4 hrs of use, it just stopped working. Tried everything and it did not start. Reached the hotel and for long time tried to charge it and it does not respond. No light comes up.

    Very disappointed as have been using Sena on all my old Schubert helmets with never any problem.

    Can you please guide me as to how this can be resolved.

    I have the hjc smart 21 b now it connects to my phone for calls and media but wont connect to the app for further controls. It works on my tablet but doesnt work for my new phone now I cant be carrying my tablet around with me while riding can you shed some light on as to why this may be happening

    I have all this issues reported here. Connection drop, bad sound, system unresponsive, etc.
    Sena simply doesn’t care, say to open RMA and the 2nd device have the same problems. No firmware updates, nothing. I do a reset and stop working after some minutes. Is frustrating stop every half hour to do a reset. Is a waste of money.

    Hi Bruno,

    Really sorry to hear you're having trouble with the device.  I can completely understand your frustration, but the problem is that Sena isn't the one who built or control firmware updates for the device.  Yes, it has our tech in it, but it's an HJC product, they control it.  You said the second device had the same issues, did you request they send you another replacement?

    I already submitted an RMA and the replacement unit sent did the same thing.
    Deep down I think it's a software problem, but nobody is fixing it.
    The HJC support website says to ask Sena for help, and here on the Sena forum they say we should ask HJC for help.
    Do you understand the problem?

    I completely understand.  And Sena does handle tech support for the device.  The tricky part is, we don't control the software or firmware.  So if there is a software/firmware issue, HJC are the ones who need to correct it.

    We have one of the HJC 21B here in the office.  We're going to try and see if we get the same issues you do after the firmware update.  If we can replicate it, we can pass it on to HJC and let them know it needs to be fixed.  But as you can imagine, that will take some time, and doesn't help you much inbetween.

    Thank you for your help, at least you're willing to try and help.
    I'll wait for improvements, until then, I'll leave this equipment aside because I'm the only one in my group who has Sena.
    If any testing is needed on my part, please let me know.
