Dear Joey,
Thank you for reaching out regarding the connection issue you're experiencing between your 2024 CVO Street Glide and the Sena SRL 2 headset for Apple CarPlay. I understand how frustrating it can be when you're unable to get the device to connect properly.
Possible Causes and Solutions:
-
Apple CarPlay Compatibility:
- To ensure that the SRL 2 works with Apple CarPlay on your bike, please confirm that the bike’s infotainment system is properly set up for Apple CarPlay. The system should be updated to the latest software version to guarantee compatibility.
-
Bluetooth Pairing:
-
SRL 2 Pairing: For Apple CarPlay to function with your SRL 2, the bike’s infotainment system needs to recognize the SRL 2 headset as a Bluetooth device. Ensure that both your bike and SRL 2 are properly paired using the Bluetooth settings. Please follow these steps:
- Turn on the SRL 2 headset and set it to pairing mode.
- Access your bike’s Bluetooth settings and ensure it is discoverable.
- Select your SRL 2 headset from the available Bluetooth devices.
- Tip: Sometimes, clearing the Bluetooth memory on both devices (SRL 2 and bike) and re-pairing can resolve connection issues.

-
Bike Firmware Update:
- Ensure that your 2024 CVO Street Glide has the latest firmware update for its infotainment system, as older firmware may cause compatibility issues with newer devices.
-
CarPlay Settings on iPhone:
- Verify that Apple CarPlay is enabled on your iPhone and that the iPhone is connected to your bike’s system via USB or Bluetooth. Make sure the Bluetooth settings on the phone are active, as CarPlay relies on Bluetooth for some communication with the bike’s system.
Follow-Up Questions:
To help us investigate the issue further:
- Have you been able to successfully pair the SRL 2 with other Bluetooth devices (e.g., phone or another bike system)?
- Does the infotainment system display the SRL 2 under available Bluetooth devices, but not offer Apple CarPlay connectivity?
- Are you able to access other Bluetooth features like music or intercom communication with the SRL 2 when paired with the bike?
Once we have more information, we can guide you to a resolution. I look forward to hearing from you soon.
