Sena is not really good in communications. Which is a fun thing for a comms. company :-)
Whenever one of my devices gets a firmware update via WIFI dongle or over the air, i am totally lost to know what they changed. Typically 2 months later the changes are listed on their website. Should be easy to have this available in the app...0 -
Same here in Europe.
I just wanted to buy the dual and to load the apps before. But no WAVE App to find.
Seems a bit funny when they write how to get the app and it´s only nothing there.....

Last week I reached out to Sena customer support. The rep said: "The upper management is hoping to release the app by end of January 2025." He didn't sound too convincing. I honestly don't hold high hopes for this app. It's a great idea, but I have doubts SENA can pull this off on their own.

I'm waiting to buy a dual pack for the wife and I, but will stick with my 50Rs until the Wave intercom is out and proven to make a difference to what i have now. I couldn't really care less about the changeable panels and the coloured flashing lights. It's functions that will make me change. Other than the flashlight i cannot see any other benefits.

Wave Intercom is universal, there is no need to use a Sena branded device either, it says so on their product-page
"Cross Brand Compatibility" and "Wave Intercom works seamlessly with any Bluetooth headset, regardless of brand."0 -
Also in the Demo App, it clearly shows a Sena 50S that is "connected" as a dummy unit

Wave Intercom is not yet available on the US App Store. It’s likely still in the process of being released or updated. For now, the QR code redirects to the Sena website, where you may find more details or updates. Keep an eye on the App Store, as the app might be available soon. For more details visit this website.

I have the Wave app, downloaded from Apple, while I can log in and see one of my friends who has done the same thing, we can get no further. No communication seems to be possible. Is the system actually working?

Ray Woodhams: There was a server downtime today at noon (CST). Just try again ... Start the app, wait until the map appears and tap on the big red "Wave" button in the middle on the display. More details here ...

Thanks, but the server was not the problem My friend and I are still unable to communicate via wave. We are both logged on. And can see each other on the home page, but there is no connection. Interestingly the system seems to “forget” my motorbike, each time I open up, I am invited to enter a motorbike.

Same was here after app update or server downtime - i'm not exactly sure which case was it.
Another thing I have observed is, when you have more bluetooth devices connected to your smartphone with HFP profile (in my case was a smart watch), the wave intercom app choosed to use the smart watch and not my 50R. I lerned, disconnect other devices like headphones, ear buddies, ... before you starts to use wave intercom with your helmet
