30k mesh+bluetooth noisy
I am having three separate issues with the new Sena 30k.
I own two units and both of them exhibit the same issue so it is not specific to a defective unit.
1) When using Mesh public mode to communicate, occasionally I get a motorboating type sound on the channel and the only way to resolve it is to stop the mesh and reconnect the mesh.
2) When using Mesh+Bluetooth to link a rider group using a mix of SMH10 and 30k, the 30k introduces a lot of noise into the channel effectively making it unusable. As soon as the 30k is disconnected from the group the channel is clear again. Linking purely on bluetooth or purely on Mesh works fine.
3) When linking the 30k using bluetooth to a group of riders using SMH10 occasionally the 30k loses the connection with a Buzzing/Rasping noise and after a few seconds of that noise the link gets restablished to the group and the noise is gone.

Why does Sena not respond to a complaint?
I posted this in February and there is still no response from Sena support
Dissapointing service levels from Sena.

Tell all your friends to Email Sena at support@sena.com about this noise issue. The more people that complain, the better chance to get it fixed. Even I emailed them myself a few minutes ago. First I bought the Packtalk Bold and love it. It is perfect in every way possible for me, BUT I recently joined a group that only uses the Sena (30K mostly) open mesh mode when they can, because they say that is where they get the best quality. I got my Sena 30K two days ago and I knew there would be a learning curve for it. On the initial paring to the group, I thought the Sena 30K was going to be better than I thought; we all were paired and I could hear everyone clearly. Then we rode off and it wasn't until we reached 35 MPH that I started to hear some wind noise. Then we hit 45 MPH and it got worse. When we finally reached highway speeds and again, it got worse. Now, to be honest , I do not have a lot of motorcycle bluetooth headset experience and know what is to be expected. I have been riding with the Packtalk Bold for 2 month and I was able to get them early because I Pre-Order them before the release date. Took a day to learn how to operate them fully, but when I took them out on their maiden voyage with a friend, they worked flawlessly. At the time, when I did not hear any wind noise from the Packtalk Bold, I didn't think nothing of it. This was my first motorcycle bluetooth headset and didn't think you would hear wind noise when riding. If Sena doesn't figure out how to fix this noise issue with their product, they may lose a few customers. Personally, I will still use the packtalk when riding on my own, but I really want the wind noise gone on the Sena 30K so when I am out with the group, we can all talk. Discussing things like, where we are going to eat or where we want to go next.

I'm getting a lot of static and popping when I connect two units via Bluetooth. I've been using mesh mode instead, but it's not optimal. For the price I paid, I'm not sure I'm entirely sold on the latest and greatest. Before this I was using the V6 1200, the cheapo Chinese comm, it actually worked very well and was great value. Oh and the wind noise is terrible. From some of the videos I've seen comparing the Packtalk, perhaps I should have invested in that system instead, too bad all my friends bought and drank the SENA Kool-aid.
