Sena SR10 Headset Compatibility / Pairing Questions?
Hi Sena,
I'm attempting to pair the SR10 to a linux based headset. When I attempt to discover it by holding the pairing button for 5 seconds to pair as headset I can't seem to see the device.
I have no problems with discovering and pairing my Sena 20s or my Garmin 595lm to this device. I can also discover and pair the SR10 as a phone/gps connection by holding the pairing button for 8 seconds.
I also have no problems pairing directly to the Sena 20s or a Cardo Packtalk.
I suspect this is something to do with the older 2.1 + EDR protocol but I've verified that the hardware I'm using is backwards compatible.
When I scan for the Sena or Garmin devices I have no problems seeing the bluetooth id/mac address of these devices...however, the SR10 doesn't seem to "broadcast" it's id/mac when in the 5 second pairing mode. If I use the 8 second pairing mode it behaves the same as the Sena 20s and the Zumo 595lm.
What am I missing?
Thank you,
Dan
PS: Will the firmware ever be updated on the SR10? There are quite a few reproducible bugs and it seems this device has been abandoned support wise...just curious.
