SMH10R (Nexx X.Comm) and BMW TFT phone call sound issue

I have a Nexx X.Comm and paired it with the new BMW R1200GS TFT screen. 

Everything works fine (media streaming & sound) except for the sound on incoming and outgoing phone calls. Music streaming gets stopped when phone call is initiated, but no sound comes through. 

I have checked my Android device and allows all the settings for phone/contacts/media to the BMW TFT screen. 

I have even tried changing the settings for "High Quality A2DP" & "Sidetone" to no avail. 

Furthermore, I also reloaded latest firmware on both BMW TFT and Sena X.Comm. Also tried pairing the helmet with "Phone selective pairing", but that does not pair on TFT. Also, I can only load latest firmware X-COM-v1.1.img file but not the SMH10R firmware update.
Does anyone have an answer for this or how I can get this to work?

    I'm having the same exact issue with the Sena SMH-10. Absolutely everything works flawlessly with the BMW TFT screen except no audio on calls. I've seen this same issue mentioned on BMW owner's forum, latest word is they have an open support ticket with Sena tech support.

    Any luck with your issue yet? I'll contact Sena tech support also and update here if there's a fix for this issue.

    I opened a call and happy to forward you the train of emails. It is a bit of a joke if you ask me as I ended up nowhere on it. 

    I also went on their facebook page and had better luck there understanding my problem. They suggested switching off Enhanced Data rate, but I have tried that prior and again after they asked me, but did not make a difference. Facebook reply message said they will look into it. 

    But yeah, if you log a call too, it would underscore the need for an answer.

    Also since the TFT unit is made by Bosch and also forms the basis for the KTM TFT, I wonder if they have the same issue.

    Same same here with BMW TFT 2019 R1250 GS Adv.

    Any answer from Sena?

    D Maia. Nothing. (Other than a notification just now about your post and same issue) :P I don't think it's a high priority for them/not going to get fixed. Enjoy your new ride!

    Hi William, it seems that we have to buy the next headset on Aliexpress, at least the price will be just a small portion of the  expensive ones (and it may even work better)!

    I've found a nice video on youtube with tips to pair the Sena 30S to the TFT and Nav 6, maybe it's worth to give it a try https://youtu.be/LzPoILCj-aU 

    I couldn't try this yet but I will on next weekend.

    Hello all, I logged case  #288039 for the same issue with my LRP3 (OEM of SMH10R to LS2). Let's see if Sena has got anything to say. By the way this YT video shows a 20S perfectly working... so it must be a firmware issue. My LRP3 only pairs to TFT via MEDIA profile, no joy with TELEPHONE or SELECTED TELEPHONE.

    I have the Nexx and BMW has updated the TFT software recently. BMW does not say what changed in the TFT version, but mine is now working for phone audio, so I can only guess they have made it backwards compatible with Bluetooth v3.0. So, if you have BMW, ask your dealer that your TFT get updated with this version 001_019_180.

    BMW TFT update is most important, without it, it will not work.

    I've been having a similar issue for more than a year now, maybe two or three. Everything works fine on my SMH10, except when I receive or place a phone call, the incoming audio is incomprehensible. The caller at the other end of the line can hear me fine however. I've ceased attempting to initiate phone calls and if I answer a phone call I usually open the conversation with a warning that I'll probably not be able to hear them and they should send me a text message.

    I've usually got these devices up to the latest firmware but have basically given up on this working so I haven't checked recently. I'll check today however, and perhaps I'll open a ticket as well since I have two of these exhibiting the same behaviour.

    Note that this issue is not related to any TFT display as I don't have on my V-Strom.
