VOX sensitivity level

The unit is a Sena 30K.  Does anyone know if the VOX sensitivity level settings affect the sensitivity/gain of the microphone during a Bluetooth intercom conversation.  Or does it only adjust the level that the mic triggers at to start a intercom session, than resumes a preset gain.
