Sena 10C EVO - Failed Firmware Update disabled the Camera Functions
My 10C Evo worked just fine for a day of me unboxing it. I started using the Sena Utility App and the Camera App. Even shot some video footages and photos while riding. I was exploring the Sena Android Camera and Utility Apps with my newly bought Sena 10C Evo. It suggested me updating it's firmware to v1.4 from out of the box v1.2 using Sena Bluetooth Device Manager. While running the firmware update, I get an error saying "Failed to update firmware. Check your SD Card". I had successfully installed using a Samsung Pro UHS-1 U3 32gb MicroSD card (formatted in FAT32) and it was working fine until I attempted the firmware update. After the failed firmware update attempt, my device turns on, audio functions, intercom work fine. Camera turns on but I'm not able to format the card using the device. It says 'No SD card' when I try to hold the camera button for 5 seconds to format it using the device. Tried running the Firmware Update on Mac and Windows using USB 2.0 slots too. Changed the USB cable. Still no luck. Now I can't use the camera functions even on firmware v1.2. I tried using another SD card, formatting it in FAT32. Both of the MicroSD cards are detected on my system and are working just fine using an external card reader, even with other cameras but the Sena 10C Evo somehow doesn't recognize them anymore. This happened on the 2nd day of me unboxing the product and I'm really disappointed with the poor stability of the softwares/firmware.

It happens exactly the same to me yesterday, after trying to update to 1.4

I've been trying to look for a solution to this problem. As far as I understand, the bug is purely software/firmware based.
I did use my 10C Evo's camera successfully for a day before I attempted updating the firmware. I have the footages and the stills out of it using the same micro SD card that it now no longer recognizes.I was hoping for it to be fixed with some software troubleshooting because the hardware components are completely intact. Upon checking with Sena USA support over mail, they suggested a replacement under warranty. As much as I appreciated the fact that my device will be replaced by Sena USA under warranty I was disappointed with the fact that there is no other way to solve this issue. I'll have ship it back to them and spend some bucks on the shipment back to me too, all of this because of a failed firmware update issue that should've happened hassle free in the first place. Super disappointing!
