On the 30K I could have speakers installed that were used unless I plugged in my earphones which would then cause it to switch to using the earphones instead of the speakers.  The 50C design did not have this flexibility and required me to install the headset one way or the other.  

My question is does the new 60S work the same way as the 50C - one way or the other at install time; or, does it work as the 30K did where it works both ways depending on if I have earphones plugged in?
