Disappointed in New 50C Unit

    The RC4 was originally designed to work with the 10C series.
    RC4 is able to be paired to the 50C; however, functionality with the Multifunction button only allows to enable the group intercom feature after pressing/holding for 1 sec.

    Agent #09 - Your response dosn't seem to have anything to do with the problems I have encountered with this 50C unit - maybe you cut-n-pasted your response from your "responce array" screen to the wrong thread....

    In any case, I did in fact return the Sena 50C (Unit #1) back to the retailer in exchange for a "new" unit we will now refer to as Sena 50C Unit #2 --

    50C Unit #2 exhibits most all the same failed issues as 50C unit #1 did (listed above) with the most distracting being the incoming phone call volume  ALWAYS shatters my ears with those wonderful Harmon-Kardon speakers at 100% Volume - Once again I turn the Volume level down in both the cell phone side AND the 50C Unit side and give myself a test call from a "landline" phone or my wife's' cell phone. When the call comes through the 50C unit I can actually see the Volume Level slider control increase the volume on its own ! I slide it back with my finger and it in turn raises right back up to 100% before my eyes !   Amazing !   When  I  recheck the volume level on the Sena App., it too is at 100% raised from my previous 30% setting. Of course I have loaded the Sena App. in not one but two different phones and tried the same functions which fail no matter what phone is used so don't tell me "it's your phone" after following the user manual operating instructions precisely.

    This just cant be normal ??? !!!     At that high volume level it absolutely startles a you while riding the motorcycle and actually hurts your eardrums.

    A lawsuit waiting to happen !

    Are you listening Sena management ?

    I said a lawsuit waiting to happen...

    ...or are are you guys a victim of your own product ?

    I am sure this anomaly can be fixed with some sort of Firmware update.

    Lets get with it before your company gets sued ok ?

    ... oh, and I forgot to mention. I have not received any level of "escalated" tech support for my open service tech support request ticket #661296 reply other than the same lame instructions sent to my email by "agent #11" to fault reset the unit to factory settings -

    Well daaaaa - like I haven't tried that routine xxx's times before I ever called in for tech support in the first place.

    You need to consider your customer base has some level of troubleshooting intelligence and experience with electronics. computers, software and such and usually tries all the  "simple stuff" before wasting time being on hold on the phone for someone only to ask them if the power button was turned on or if the unit is "fully charged".

    Gimme a break - P l e e e e e z z z ...

    Update to 50C functionality with RC4 remote:

    Sena has released firmware update 1.1 which has enabled the remote functionality of 50C camera with the RC4 remote.  I am very impressed with the speed with which Sena customer care reacted to this problem I reported  Thank you Sena for the excellent customer service!

    UK user with same volume problem on phone calls as previously reported. My beef is it just won’t stay connected on its Wi-Fi to enable download of on bike footage so struggling to view anything I’ve filmed or photographed. Totally disappointing as it’s only as good as my old one I.e as a audio unit. Camera remains elusive to me 🤬🤬
