    Hi - Hopefully you found the solution already. I have a Chieftain and my Sena 50S is connected as a phone, not a BT device.  I found this info in an Indian motorcycle forum.  ~ Karen

    The "intercom failed, please try again later" message is GONE.  I am also now consistently connected to my bike for audio and nav instructions. I did both a factory and a fault reset. FACTORY RESET...

    I have a laundry list of complaints about the 50S, the "intercom failed" message is only one of them.  I agree that VOX intercom should not have to be turned off to eliminate the message.

    What's annoying to me is the "intercom failed" message when I am riding alone.
