Chris Multipoint pairing is in the user manual . If you dont have one there is a PDF file on the Sena website that has all the instructions. It's not hard. I sugest you print it out and have it with you while standing next to the bike. Also for some reason everything seems to connect best if after pairing everything and you set out for a ride you start bike and turn on phone first then turn on the SMH 10 last. Dont ask me why LOL

Please visit this Garmin FAQ (link below). This has the list of Garmin GPS that are compatible with Bluetooth headsets. If your GPS is not listed, you won't be able to use this with a Bluetooth headset.

The video does not apply to the R model. Is there an instructional video for the SMH10R?

First off, I do not have a phone to pair with the SMH10 and don't plan to have one at this time.

I have a Garmin 785T which will pair with the SMH10 as "media connected" and, if I'm not on intercom, I can hear the voice prompts. Turn on the intercom and no GPS comes through. I would have thought the GPS should take priority, so can this be achieved?  I tried pairing it as a phone, but the GPS only puts out a 1234 code, which the Sena won't recognize. Only in "audio", on the GPS, can I get the 0000 code to show. Thank you.

After much to and fro with the Help Desk, trying many avenues that were a dead end, I stumbled on my problem and this may help others with pairing just a GPS for directional use along with intercom.

In the GPS menu of Bluetooth, you will see a "Friendly Name" box beside the Audio box. The Audio box is the one you want to use to pair your GPS, as the Phone box will only send out a 1234 code to the Sena, which doesn't work.  Originally, when I was trying to pair the GPS, I looked in the Friendly box and saw my Nuvi model and serial number, but left it as it was. Later, trying other approaches, I thought maybe I should put the 0000 code in that box instead, but that got me no where as well.

Just now, I cleared that box leaving it EMPTY instead and presto - the GPS paired, showing the 0000 code on the screen by itself.

Hope that helps others with this problem that I have been trying to sort out for days!

Wer kann mir weiterhelfen? Habe versucht das Handy und das Navi (Zumo 340LM ). gleichzeitig anzumelden. Es geht aber immer nur eines von beiden. Nie beide gleichzeitig. Warum?

What would be the best pairing method to use to pair a BMW Navigator V to the SMH10? My iPhone will be paired to the Navigator. I will also be using an SR10 and SM10.

Forgot to add, the SM10 is plugged into the bike line out (R1200RT) and the phone plugs into the glovebox to supply audio to the bike.

I asked the same question here and this was the answer I got . I have a 2015 R1200RT and a Sena SMH10 and this is what the people at sena told me. I copied and pasted it from their email back to me. It does work.

-SMH10 to Nav V as Multipoint(refer to User's Guide for pairing instructions)
-SMH10 to phone via Media Selective
    -Phone to Nav V
-SMH10 to other Sena headsets via Intercom

So how did you do multipoint pairing? Is it the same process as phone selective pairing?

Also, I'm adding an SR10 into the mix. I may need to use the SR10 as the hub or I'll run out of connections in the helmet.

The video (above) is for Zumi.  I have a Nuvi 760 and am not having any success in getting the Nuvi 760 to "speak" to the SPH10.

Wow. A whole step of the manual I didn't get, how to multipoint pair by holding the jog button then tapping phone button. I thought it was a typo.......! Your method for the RT works perfectly.

As an engineer, of this sort of technology, I must say I'm a little embarrassed...!

Ok, this process you have recommended Regulator26fs works a treat until I introduce the SR10. It seems the headset can't cope with the SR10 and the Nav V setup as listed above. Otherwise, awesome!

Oh, I've used an SM10 on the line out of mine (a 2012 model) and added that via media selective pairing. Still works awesome until I turn on the SR10.

    Solution for BMW Navigator V, iPhone 6s, SM10 & SR10:

Normal phone pairing from SMH10 to Nav V,

    Pair Nav V to iPhone,

THEN: go into Bluetooth settings on Nav V and de-select "media" while headset and phone connected.

Switch Bluetooth off on Nav V and iPhone,

Multi-point connect SR10 as a stand-alone unit for UHF only,

    Media Select Pairing for SM10.

    Turn everything off and reboot.

Turn everything on then the headset(s) last.

    Stable and works great!

Glad it worked for you Chris. The above method you have just posted is only if you want to use the SR10? Is that correct? Or is it a better method than the one I posted?

I followed your cues but I did not pair my phone to the headset via media selective, as I am using an SM10 adapter on the bike, hard wired into the line out on the bike, so it got connected to the headset via media selective pairing instead. Thanks!

Oh and I added another pairing, that's the SR10 via multipoint, and the Nav via phone pairing. These can be switched around to give priority to the phone or UHF. However when on a call I can hear the UHF in the background. Stable, but crackly sometimes, I think that's because there is a high-powered UHF involved.

The solution that Chris posted is for pairing the BMW NAV V, the SR10 and the SM10 to the SMH10 which is the correct steps to get everything paired together. Although, you didn't need to deselect "Media" from the Bluetooth settings on the NAV V as using the Media Selecting Pairing mode when pairing the SM10 to the SMH10 will automatically take away the stereo music Bluetooth profile from the NAV V which is considered "media" on that GPS.

Thanks! I'll re-check the media box and try it out. I am getting some popping and crackling when on phone calls, I think it has something to do with I the Nav V. Any suggestions?

I've de-selected voice enhancement on the SMH10 and it made a big difference.

    Hello

    I tested the Firmware-Update 4.2 , 4.2.1 and 5.0 on my Sena SMH10R

I have some Problems with my SENA SMH10R and the Voice form my Garmin Zumo550 when i hear music via Bluethooth from my Samsung Galaxy S3 .

If the Zumo will tell me some information ,i miss the first two words from the Zumo... sometimes it´s only a whisper and than the SENA shut off ...

This is only , whenn i hear music. If i only connect the Zumo and not the phone , the voice is ok... The Voice-Music-Problem exist  with a HTC-phone and an other Garmin Zumo 550 ,too.

I think, the Problem ist not by Zumo or Phone...

This ist by the Version 4.2 and 4.2.1 .

With the Version 5.0 , i have the same Problems and some digital Audio-Problems , it sounds like a corrupt MP3-Sound with gitter-errors...but this is only in this constalation. The musicfiles are ok by hearing via phone-speaker...

Sometimes the Sena SMH10R shut off too. Sometimes it dosen´t connect to the Bluethoothdevices...

Is there anybody , who can help or know what to do ?

Sorry for my bad english... i´m from German..

    Kai

Not all GPS with Bluetooth will work. The GPS need to support Bluetooth headsets. Some GPS will only work with Mobile Phones.

    Help me.

My GPS (WinCE 6.0 4.3" device e.g. CVUG-TR53) can't connect to the SMH10 (fw. ver. 5.0.1), just shows me "The device connects fails" message.

But it connects to any other bluetooth handsfree without problems.

I'm totally blanking on this problem.

My Sena Smh10 will not pair with my Garmin Zumo 660. I have the newest firmware update. The Garmin finds the sena then tells me my passcode is 1234 then the screen says pairing failed. Any ideas? Thanks!

@Dheller: The SMH10 needs to be paired under the Audio option in the Bluetooth settings menu and not the Phone option.
