Is the Sena SM10 mono as I can only hear the audio from it in my right ear?

  Check the contact pins on the unit to the base. I had issues with that a few times. Sometimes those pins don't fully contact the mount or they could be dirty.

  The pins are brand new and perfect and are in all the way?

  Hmm, might be a speaker defect then. I've seen 3 units do what I described but not too sure about an out of the box unit.
