The SR10 is JUNK , After having multiple units both of which acted up the same way. After 20 minutes or so of use the audio going through the SR10 turns to a garbled mess using it to transmit through the radio cord. SENA refuses to admit there's a problem with them and I know 5 other people who had the same problem and opted to use a different product which I have now just decided to do. SENA left a bad taste and I would never recommend anyone buy one of these units...........

Ive had this happen occasionally too.  You sound like a robot Cylon.  What I've found works for me is to double tap the PTT which leaves the connection between the SR10 and your headset open all the time.  I've never had it go bad when I've done that.  To disconnect to regular connection double tap the PTT again.

Ken -- if you drop back to the normal operation with another double tap does it stay fixed for a while?

Brian - When I'm using the SR10 I leave it connected all the time now using the double tap.  I'm just guessing here but I think when the unit connects and disconnects during radio transmissions in it's normal operation that sometimes the connection goes haywire and you get the cylon transmission.  It's only on transmit, receive operation remains normal.  Not sure if it's related but I also discovered when the SR10 battery gets low you can also get the same problem cropping up.  I'm still fussing with it trying to determine what circumstances cause it to happen.  These intermittents are frustrating, sometimes I can go all day without the problem and other times it will crop up once or twice.
