My issue was on Android and turned out to be an issue with the app I was using. I uninstalled it, and used a different, then installed it again when it was updated, and all works fine now!

I don't remember when it stopped working for me, but my phone has been updated this year to KitKat 4.4.2. I can't get any of the jog dial functions to work at all with the stock Music app (nor Pandora, for example). Play, Pause, nothing works.  Help!

@David: Remove the headset from your phone, perform a Factory Reset on the headset, then pair the headset back to your phone.

I have to factory reset which causes all my programmed radio stations and custom setup to be lost in order to get back next/prev song functionality?  Is that guaranteed to fix the problem?  I'd be really angry if I do that just to find out it doesn't fix the problem.

Oh wait - isn't there a way to backup all my settings and then restore them after a factory reset?
