Option to enable ringtone use on SMH10...
I understand that this was taken out to fix an issue with the intercom in firmware v3.2.
My request is to have this as an option for those of us that did not have a problem with this, that way, we can enable/disable at our leisure.
Thanks. =D

I agree with the above. That is really the only feature holding me back from purchasing this headset. I set groups of people under certain ringtones so that I have an idea of who is calling. Even better would be if the firmware would text-to-voice the caller id through the headset, but at the minimum should play the custom ringtones from the phone. I don't like blindly answering my phone.

I'm less concerned with reproducing group ringtones would I would definitely strongly recommend a MUCH louder indication of an incoming call. The existing (and only?) tone is practically inaudible when travelling at motorway cruising speeds. I don't want to choose auto answer but have missed a number of calls as I simply couldn't hear the incoming call tone.

I'm with Alex. I was just griping to myself today over that very thing. Why is the volume so low on the incoming ring?

Thank you for your suggestion. We will do the feasibility to customize intercom ring tone to each intercom friend. We will keep you informed later.

This relates to phones rather than other SMH10s

OK, We will also do the feasibility study to phones to tell by ring tones. Thank you.

Thanks
The priority though (for me but not the original poster) must be to be able to know that you've got an incoming call rather than be able to tell whether it is a specific work colleague or family member that is trying to contact you.
Apologies to Chaosknign for the suggestion hi-jack

I jsut got the SPH10, and today, missed one call completely, and got a second call, but, by the time I realized that the in-coming "Beeps" were not part of the music I was listening to, the call went to voice mail. A more audible tone would help, or, maybe better yet(??) have the tone over-ride the music (this could be a user option setup????) , giving the user the opportunity to ignore, go back to their music, or, take the call.

Any news on sorting out the volume of the incoming call alert. It's gone quiet (pun intended)
