Better speakers / more volume with SMH10
I know there is not much space in helmets for speakers (so they must be relatively small), but a bit more base would be very nice for sound quality.
A bit more volume would also be nice. I have a goldwing for which wind noise is not a problem. The volume is okay. However, I also have a sport bike for which wind noise is much worse, so I typically wear foam ear plugs to protect my hearing. The problem is the wind noise on the sport bike completely drowns out the speakers. If there was more volume from the speakers, I could hear the music above the wind noise even with ear plugs (i.e. better S/N ratio with ear plug attenuation). I'm pretty certain this is possible since the firmware 4.0 voice that announces "hello" and "good-bye" is louder than my music.
Thanks.

There are a number of separate requests for more volume, so just though I'd cross-ref:
http://support.senabluetooth.com/entries/21056096-more-volume-would-be-nice - Claims it is 'Done', but I don't think it is.
http://support.senabluetooth.com/entries/21460216-more-volume-please - Mentions a possible issue with v4.0 firmware, but the real problem is that ALL version needs more volume if possible.
http://support.senabluetooth.com/entries/21441021-better-speakers-more-volume-with-smh10 - This request (just added here for completeness).
Perhaps voters on any other these requests could make sure they vote on them all so that the support/need is not diluted.

Good point about the goodbye and hello - the volume of them is fine. It is just music volume with iPhone - phone volume is also OK

Even if additional replaceable batteries were needed to have a truly loud and clear speaker system...I would take it! I love the SMH10 but am ready to start experimenting with other speakers in my full face helmet. Saw a guy once that had done so with some high end mp3 player speakers and had them set in the helmet complete with ear cups to seal the ear. Awesome! It was great. Wish I could find that guy now! Clear, loud, and with some real nice bass.

Mike:
We're the longest running Sena dealer, and we offer a speaker upgrade for the Sena clamp kits that puts the sound experience and volume into a completely different galaxy than the factory Sena speakers. Contact us for details http://rocketmoto.com or 877.533.4245.

Mike, I checked out your website and did see upgraded speakers for the SMH5, but not for the SMH10 ... do you have those? I'm considering just getting a Fiio headphone amp and seeing if that would be enough, but surely some better speakers would be in order. Will also look into getting the Tork X-Pros, but now I'm adding a good chunk of change between the headphone amp and new speakers.

I know that you Sena have been sending me the great download's to improve my Sena 10 but guy's i got to tell you i too need more volume.I've had to revert back to my 2007 shoei full face to get the speaker's right on my ear's to hear it.I do some serious Sport-Touring w/ my friend's and communication is extremely important.I know that there might be a limit as to how much more sound one can get but i also should be able to adjust to my liking.Tell me can this be adjusted at your end to give me or us more sound on a download ? I'll be waiting for a responce,Thank you my friend's....Mike,Kingsburg,Ca.

I see I'm not the only one with this problem. My smh10 set is almost brand new. Streaming audio via a tablet and bleutooth is horrible. Volume is low, and isn't steady at all. Streaming audio via the cable it gives out grate volume. But running a cable from my steering wheel to my head isn't something I like. + I miss the ability to pause and next track. I also tried with a simply MP3 player, the volume was low but steady. Any solutions yet???
