'loud mode' for use with earplugs
I use earplugs when going for long rides, but not for commuting, and I find it a hassle trying to change the volume when transitioning from earplugs to not - or vice-versa - especially due to the fact that the SMH10 maintains separate volume settings for each media channel. It would be great if there was a special way of turning the unit on such that it operated in 'loud mode', adding (say) 10 decibels to everything (i.e. all media channels and announcements) until the unit was switched off again. The advantage of choosing the mode as part of the turn-on procedure is that you would never accidentally leave it in the wrong mode.
(N.B. I don't know whether 10dB is a suitable value or not - I just picked a number. Maybe this could be a user-configurable setting via the firmware update program?)

Thank you for your suggestion. We will do the feasibility of keeping separate volume of each device that is the ear plug or speakers. We will keep you informed later.

Just to clarify, I am talking about ear-plugs that make everything quiet. Not talking about in-ear ear-phones. So your comment about 'each device' is not really relevant.

@Nick I got it. Is What you want to ask for that SMH10 have another powering-on mode with + 10 dB (or other proper value)? You're right the volume should be changed when you plug in ear-plug to SMH10 clamp. I believe that it would be a solution that the volume at ear-plug-in mode be increased, am I right? We will do the study of both the another powering-on mode and increasing the volume at ear-plug-in mode. Thank you for the clarification.

Yes this is what I am asking for.

No I am not talking about anything that plugs in. I think you are talking about in-ear head-phones that you can use to listen to music? But I am just talking about things you put in your ears that make everything quiet. Many motorcyclists use these to block out wind noise (without actually listening to music, etc). This would be a good feature. I too have changed from earbuds to using the speakers in the helmet and at 60mph it is almost but not quite enough volume. I do use earplugs and can mostly hear ok but it really does need a little more volume.
