yes I was very disappointed that you could like listen to music from my phone and record voice to the GP10...so now its a matter of do I enjoy my ride or do I just talk about my ride..i thought that maybe this item was paired like it was another headset on an intercom. because the 20s says that you could listen to music from your phone, and gps module as well as talk to people and have all the audio at once but that the intercom traffic would take precedence...?  I would like to be able to ride and listen to my music while I record myself talking to myself. would it be cool to also have the GP10 pick up the music, maybe. but not as important as being able to talk to the camera and have my stereo music playing...

I also assumed that the GP10 would act as another headset.  I figured I could tap on my headset to switch to the GP10 and record voice, then tap off to go back to my phone music.  I am very disappointed that its only one device or the other.  May be looking at returning.

I've resorted to using earbuds plugged directly into my phone for music, and using the helmet speakers/mic for recording and intercom. Kind of frustrating.

I also just purchased a GP10 and just found out after hours of messing with it that you cannot have your phone paired and working at the same time, a huge disappointment and renders the GP10 worthless for me and my wife.  I hope Sena addresses this asap please!

I am extremely disappointed in this. I already had the SMH10R and the GP10. The only reason I bought the 20S was to get access to music as well as recording to my GoPro. This should be addressed right away. Right now I feel like I wasted a lot of money.

Please bump this up the list. As much as the 20S does this is the Biggest disappointment I have with the $600 plus dollars I have into my Sena 20S Dual pack/Gopro Backpack set up.

Adding the question regarding updates. Don't want to purchase one and find out a lot of the stuff hasn't been resolved.

At this point I doubt it, guess you have to buy the all in one camera, not even sure if that will do the trick...kind of irritated

I have this exact same problem too. My GP10 recording would get interrupted when the GPS instruction from Garmin is heard.

This is definitely not the way this product suppose to work!

Here is an email response to my question. I am still looking for a device to see and touch in person. Cannot believe in the Des Moines area there is only one and while they are very close to me haven't responded to an email inquiry.

    Hello,

Thank you for contacting SENA Technologies.

The shortcomings that you've said were already fix on the latest firmware update. The Uclear bluetooth system that you had will definitely pair with the 10C since most of the SENA Bluetooth headsets have this Universal Intercom Technology that can pair to non_SENA bluetooth headsets in the market.

    Best Regards,

    SENA Technical Support

Hi, after days of testing and communication with you it is discovered that when the GP 10 connects to the 10C Pro it uses the same BT protocol for the android phone and cuts the music. To reinstate music you must switch off GP10. Could you write a firmware patch so we can control this that you can connect GP 10 and have music playing at same time or control music via jog wheel double tap.  This is a long standing problem and needs to be addressed as it renders the GP10 to be very limited as an integrated system.  Does it work with the 10C Evo?
