Jog dial hard to rotate

Hmmmm.  That's a good one.  My jog dial was so easy to turn that the wind would turn the volume up as I rode.  It only happened at 80 to 85 mph (the legal speed where I was).  The replacement seems to be a little harder to turn the dial.  Hoping that the wind won't spin it, too.  It was very annoying to have to turn the volume back down every 15 seconds or so (because the wind kept turning it up).

One of the S20 in my dualpack also has this issue. The jog rotates freely up till a certain point, then there's a lot of friction. Once beyond that point, it rotates freely again. It looks like the jog has not been put on straight or something. Besides this, I have a more inconvenient issue where the two devices only last for two hours or less before the battery runs out (already mentioned in another topic). Is there also a replacement service for Europe or do I need to contact my local dealer?

I've had the same issue as Ken on two different 20s's. The jog dial loosens to the point where air flow around the side of my helmet turns the volume up depending on where and how I turn my head. Very annoying to constantly hear the max volume beep while riding just because I'm checking my six. About to get my third unit under warranty to try and address this. I have a ticket in asking if there's a way to tighten the jog dial myself but no response yet.

I have the same issue. The wind rotates the jog dial. I bought 2 sets at the same time, one of the 4 units has this problem. Another one has the problem that Chris describes, the knob rotates freely up to a certain point. I'm about to take it in for warranty via my local dealer.

I put in a ticket.  Hai said to get an RMA and they'll replace it under warranty.  I'm on my 2nd 20S and they both did that; so I presume another replacement would do exactly the same thing.  The knobs do not need to be this easy to turn.   I wish the jog dial had some moderate detents that would hold the knob in position.     At high speeds (legal speeds) I must reach up every 15 to 30 seconds to turn the volume down.

My 20S was working well but now the jog dial gets stuck in the depressed position.  Not sure how to go about fixing it, and the unit is well outside warranty.

I also have a 20s and my jog button gets stuck down and is slow to pop up after pressing it. css told me to put oil on it but they couldn't tell me what kind or how to apply it. I want a second opinion before i attempt it. also my wife's is starting to do the same thing. i bought them in a set and I'm wondering if i got a bad batch because i ride with other people that say theirs are working fine.
