    Ken,

try doing a reinstall of the 1.4 firmware.. I had an issue where my Sena would just beep randomly, on a FULL battery.. I did a factory reset and fault reset and still had it. I Just reflashed the firmware and noticed my radio stations are coming in stronger. I am just testing the headset with audio music and the beeping seems to have gone away. Only thing is I am not connected to another headset or riding the bike right now. but 1 to 2 mins without that beep is good enough. So anyway, maybe try downloading the 1.4 and reinstalling. When I had the SMH10, there was this one time SENA updated the firmware but did not change the version number and keep telling us that it was never changed,.. but someone on the forum downloaded the firmware the first day it was out and compared to the later download and there were binary differences in the file.

    good luck.

So, while I was writing the last  message I went back to the SENA app on my phone and its reporting a version 1.4.1 of the firmware now available!  Must have *just* gone online.. the support page still shows 1.4. . Going to check in the SENA Windows app...

Well my phone app keeps saying to download 1.4.1 but the SENA website and SENA Windows program show only 1.4.

Fark Sena, you guys are lame

Well, Kiwi, you got me on the right track.

I have never used the Sena smartphone app because I link my iPhone to the Sena THROUGH the Zumo.  But your post intrigued me, so I paired and connected the iPhone following the app instructions.  It actually works pretty well.   I do like the way all of the functions are so much more easily modified on the iPhone versus rotating the dial and punching buttons.  I'll need to rethink the way I use the iPhone in conjunction with the Sena.  (I still want the Zumo connected to the stereo A2DP port of the 20S for music, XM radio,  etc.).

BUT, in the Sena app, I noticed something called "Voice Prompts".  It was turned OFF.  I turned it on.  Now, the Sena Lady greets me when power-up or power-down.  Thank you for guiding me to the smartphone app.

As you discovered, the iPhone app wants me to update my Sena to the newest firmware, "1.4.1".  But that update doesn't appear to exist yet.  And of course as usual, they won't tell us what the firmware update contains when/if it becomes available.

When the Sena iPhone app is connected, "Hello Sena" doesn't work.  Is this right?  If I tell the iphone to forget the connection, "Hello Sena' works again.

Isn't there some way to have the connection from the iPhone disconnect instead of completely forgetting it?

HI Ken,  Glad you worked out the thing regarding the HELLO/GOODBYE.    I use the app (on Android) to set the FM Stations and set the other settings. I've never set the set settings on the headset itself :-)

I hope things start to work better.. ie. No more random beeping,  Hopefully Multi-audio works better too.

I updated to firmware 1.4.1 last night.  The Sena Bluetooth Device Manager has it on line.  As usual, the firmware upgrade is quick and easy.

Wish they'd let us know what changes and/or improvements we can look for.  But as usual, they're very quiet about firmware updates.  This one only references changes in FM Radio and Remote Control.
