Problem Initiating Conversation Sena SF 4 to Exo Com

You have to use universal intercom pairing.
Universal Intercom Pairing: The headset can be paired with non-Sena Bluetooth headsets for Bluetooth intercom conversation. You can pair the headset with only one non-Sena Bluetooth headset, so if you pair with a different non-Sena Bluetooth headset, the previous pairing will be removed.
1. Turn on the headset and the non-Sena Bluetooth headset you want to pair with.
2. Press and hold the Center Button for 10 seconds to enter the configuration menu. Tap the (+) Button or the (-) Button until you hear a voice prompt, “Universal intercom pairing.” Tap the Center Button to enter Universal Intercom Pairing mode. Please refer to section 14.6, “Universal Intercom Pairing” for more details.
3. Perform the operation required for hands-free pairing on the non-Sena Bluetooth headset (refer to the User’s Manual for the headsets you want to use). The headset will automatically pair with a non-Sena Bluetooth headset when each is in pairing mode. -
Dear Alex,
Thank you for reposting the exact same steps from the manual.
The problem is that the Sena SF4 and the EXO will only find each other if the Sena SF4 is in the Phone pairing mode.
Do you have any advice for this case?0 -
I've got SENA SRL3, my partner's got EXO-CON. We have problem to pair together. I try to use Universal intercom mode but it isnt work. Any solution?

Hi Marek,
Unfortunately Sena support is no big help here. A little work around i found is: pair them both over the phone pairing mode. Downside is that you cant initiate a call from the sena headset. Only exo com can initiate talking. Its inconvenient but my sozius and i agreed upon a handsign when i want to talk to him, so he initiates the call. Hope itll work for you too! Best wishes Clemens

I noticed that their support was hopeless.
We will try as you wrote, thanks.0 -
Hi everyone,
I have a similar problem. I tried to connect SRL and Exo via Universal Intercom Pairing, unfortunately I couldn't manage it. Then I started going through all the options in the "Configuration Menu", finally I managed to pair them via "Phone selective pairing" or "Media selective pairing", I'm not sure what it was. I thought it was working, but when we moved and the sounds from the surroundings reached Exo, I could barely understand what my girlfriend was saying to me. Interestingly, she could hear me clearly. It was much better when we did the test in a quiet place, but even then the transmission was not smooth. Any advice?

Hello,
Have you found a solution? I can't make a universal coupling between my Sena ACS10 and EXOCOM.
Thank you0
