    Hey Max,

Unfortunately, Sena and Cardo devices use different proprietary Mesh Intercom technologies, making direct Mesh communication between a Sena ST1 and a Cardo Packtalk Edge not possible. However, you can still connect the two devices using Bluetooth Intercom as a workaround.

Steps to Connect Sena ST1 and Cardo Packtalk Edge via Bluetooth:

Put the Sena ST1 in Bluetooth Intercom Pairing Mode:

    Turn on the Sena ST1.
Press and hold the Jog Dial for 5 seconds until you hear “Intercom pairing.”
The LED will flash red, indicating it’s in pairing mode.

Put the Cardo Packtalk Edge in Bluetooth Pairing Mode:

Turn on the Cardo Packtalk Edge.
Tap the Intercom Button once or follow the pairing instructions in the Cardo Connect App.
The device will begin searching for other Bluetooth intercom devices.

    Complete the Pairing:

Wait for the devices to detect each other. When the Sena ST1 and Cardo Packtalk Edge recognize one another, accept the pairing request on both devices.
You’ll hear a confirmation tone or voice prompt indicating that the devices are paired.

    Start the Bluetooth Intercom:

On either device, tap the Intercom Button or Jog Dial to initiate communication.

    Limitations of Bluetooth Pairing:
One-to-One Communication: Unlike Mesh, Bluetooth intercom only supports one-to-one connections at a time.
Shorter Range: Bluetooth typically offers a shorter range compared to Mesh technology.
Audio Quality: Mesh usually has superior audio quality and reliability compared to Bluetooth intercom.

    Alternative Option:
Use a Smartphone as a Bridge:

    • Pair both the Sena ST1 and Cardo Packtalk Edge to a smartphone.
    • Use a group communication app like Sena RideConnected or Cardo’s Dynamic Mesh App to bridge the devices over a cellular network.
