Have 2 headsets, both purchased from Europe as could not get them state side, both on latest firmware, same identical settings. One of them beeps seemingly randomly and may have shutdown once with no warning. Anyone else have this issue?
There are many problems with intercoms for SRL. I have already exchanged my name for a new one. For now, the 1.0.1 firmware. I will test whether it works properly in the course of the test.
After exchanging the intercom SRL, I noticed:
1. The range is already ok
2. The FM radio switches on to the last listened station, it is ok.
3. Listening to the communication with GPS (TomTom Rider 410) and listening to music (Spotyfy) from the Samsung Galaxy S7 smartphone with the latest Android Oreo is not working properly. GPS turns off the music completely. After the GPS message after a while, the music is heard.
I did not install the latest version of the system in SRL. I've left the firmware version 1.0.1 for now.
It seems problems with the SRL are all over the spectrum. My original (purchased from Motocard in May) had a defect where the mic did not work when making or receiving phone calls nor could Siri hear me when using voice commands. The sound of a caller was distorted (as was Siri) to the point I could not understand anyone.
Sent back to Motocard and within a week they sent a new SRL to me here in NYC. Rode with it twice and it is working fine...so far. Music, phone and GPS functions are all operational. I ride alone so I cannot attest to the reliability of the intercom.
I did notice that my SRL came with firmware version 1.0.2 while the replacement already had 1.0.3. Not sure if this means anything or whether I was just lucky that my SRL seems to be working. I am cautiously optimistic about the future with this unit/helmet.
