Feature Request - Sena 30k Bluetooth Intercom Multi-Tasking
The lack of Bluetooth Inctercom Multi-tasking in Sena 30K is ridiculous after paying a pretty penny to upgrade from the 20S. The intercom audio gets cut off whenever the GPS turn-by-turn voice guidance comes on. This is very irritating when having a conversation with a rider. Vital information gets missed during communication. Please fix this ASAP. You have been promising a software update for over a year now and nothing has happened yet. How hard is it to implement a simple bluetooth multitasking that already exists on your Sena 20S platform?!

I have also discuss this with support and got no where. I was told that not all GPS's are supported. So i asked for a list of the GPS supported by the 30k, that request was completely ignored.
I have since unpaired my GPS from the 30K to reduces some of the issues I'm having. Which includes pairing with the 20's . It also is not completely supported by the 30K. Which is not made clear when purchasing it. I'm first to upgrade to a 30k in my group and its very frustrating trying use it. I'm considering going back to the 20s . Which will not help me encourage the use of the 30k unit in my Ulysses social group of 80 + motorbikes. Disappointing

If you want to hear navigational directions from a standalone GPS device like a Zumo 590 / BMW Navigator while you are talking over the intercom then place the headset into GPS Pairing mode when pairing it to the GPS device.
The Bluetooth-Intercom Audio Multitasking feature was added in the v2.0 firmware update for the 30K which was released on October 8th, 2018 which allows you talk to another rider in Bluetooth Intercom mode while listening to music or navigational directions from a GPS smartphone app.

Please perform a Factory Reset on your 30K and make sure that the firmware is up to date on it using the Sena Device Manager. Then delete the 30K from your GPS and pair the two devices back together again by placing the 30K into GPS Pairing Mode through the Configuration and search for the 30K in the Bluetooth menu on the GPS. Once it's been found, select it to pair them together. Then pair your 30K to another Sena headset that you want to talk to over the intercom. When the GPS automatically reconnects then you should be able to hear the directions while talking. Functions like streaming music and the FM radio will be interrupted by the GPS directions being given.
