Sena 50S improvement suggestions, and applies to most of products.
50S> Flip-Up antenna. Get rid of it. Add the radiating element into the speaker wire that can be placed inside the helmet, under the liner. If properly installed it will be far superior for transmitting/receiving as compared to the fragile flip-up antenna on the device.
50S> MESH switch. Move it. Not in the ideal spot for operating the device with heavy gloves. The ambient button location, or even in front of the jog dial, would be more ideal than where it is now.
ALL > Make the devices WATERPROOF and have it rated.
ALL > Cease advertising misleading distance ranges. None of us who own these devices ride in the conditions that would POSSIBLY provide the range as listed. Especially the BT range. I have been using Sena devices since the pre-USB SMH10 days, and never have any of the devices ever came close to the advertised range. I feel you will gain more customer TRUST by advertising a REALISTIC range one should expect. Which is about ½ or less of what you claim.
ALL > Send some pre-released units out to hard core Sena users for testing, BEFORE you release new models. Not just to You Tube reviewers that connect A to B, and call it good. Nothing is more frustrating to learn that several of the claimed features have MAJOR flaws that are easily discovered by actually using these devices in the ‘real world’ instead of some testing lab. Would these hard core testers find all flaws? Certainly not. However I found numerous flaws with the 50S units (1.0.6) within a few hours of hard core testing. You will gain more TRUST in your consumers if your were to release a product that has been tested by actual motorcyclist.
ALL > Offer a battery replacement service. I’ve changed dozens of batteries in these devices. It’s not difficult. Or continue to be greedy and suggest buying new units and continue to receive the negative press.

Sena, you have crippled the usefulness of the SR10 when paired to the 50S!
Bring back the robust Audio Multitasking as found in the 20S..

Firmware 1.0.8 addressed several of the multitasking issues. Not quite there yet, however a major improvement. Thanks Sena.

We had issues with the 50S battery holding a proper charge for a full day riding. The unit finally was holding only 3 1/2 hours before battery would fail completely. it was also having issues with the mic not connecting until working with the mounting hardware each time. the BT music finally faded and would not increase when trying to raise to full volumm.
Contacted the Sena team and we tried many different application but still had the same issues with both units. the Warranty Team contacted me and completed a RMA to replace these two units. They arrived earlier than expected and that was a blessing. THank to the Warranty Team and the SENA Help desk we have resolved the issues in a very timely manner.
Great Team to work with when having issues, thanks again.

I totally agree with the comments about range, we have had both the 30K and 50S models, the range with direct line of sight (straight flat road with no obstacles in the way) is no more than 300 Meters (both models). One of the main reasons for buying Sena over other brands was the claim on the range, so very Very disappointing. My Wife's unit also developed a battery issue after upgrade to 1.0.8, I thought it was the firmware version so downgraded to the previous version again, that did not help, so I did a total factory reset, also did not help, so guess the battery has an issue. I will contact Sena direct, on the up side, the German support team have been very helpful in the past and I am sure will do the needful to keep me loyal.
I have also now upgraded to the latest 1.0.9 FW, do not expect that to make a difference though.
