Wind noises with mic at over 45mph on 50s

Make sure the microphone is facing the right way. There is a small lug on one side the microphone just below the foam cover that should point outwards from your face. If it points towards your face you will encounter significant wind noise and reduced volume.

The nib is facing outwards. It's one of the first things we checked. This is unusable in it's current state.

I found plastic shrouds on the web, sorry, can't remember where, but worked like a charm

The raised tab faces away, the small arrow faces towards your face.,
Also there is a vox adjustment (think sensitivity) in the app.

Wind deflector for microphones. Might try this but usually for noise cancelling microphones when you cover the outside (away from your face) it can defeat the noise cancelling function.

Also, might try the other boom mic that came with the kit. if that solves the problem then it is the mic.
