Hmm, might be a speaker defect then. I've seen 3 units do what I described but not too sure about an out of the box unit.

Check the contact pins on the unit to the base. I had issues with that a few times. Sometimes those pins don't fully contact the mount or they could be dirty.

So, if you are having issues with this, I suggest going ahead with the rma. It will take about two weeks depending on your location to get it back from the day you send it off.

I forgot to update this. I ended up doing a rma for my unit having this problem. They sent a new in the box unit with updated firmware. Did not have issues updating to the last two firmware release...

I haven't had success with the 10C mic at all. Not with a loud exhaust or lots of wind noise anyway.
