Sena Android App not connecting to headset
Hello,
My Sena app v1.12 has stopped connecting to my 10U headset.
The headset connects to my HTC 10s bluetooth but when I start the app, it doesn't go beyond the "Connecting to Sena headset" message.
The application used to work fine but it just stopped all of a sudden.
I have tried removing and reinstalling the app but that hasn't fixed it.
Any suggestions,
Witek.

Witek,
Exactly which version of the 10U are you having this issue with?

Hi Chris,
My 10U is for a GT-Air and its firmware version is 1.3.
Oddly, the problem fixed itself when I upgraded my HTC One to Android 7, which HTC just happened to release last night.
I also noticed that the app requested an email address when it started up for the first time after the Android upgrade. This didn't happen when the phone was running Android 6. Once I entered my email address, everything started to work again.
Witek.

I'm using the iOS Sena app and it always disconnected and prompts "Connection Failure App will be Restarted" the app kills itself. tried umpteen times and the same things happens.

I have a SMH10 that will not connect to the app on my Galaxy s7 Edge. The model number on the unit just says "SMH10". No other letters. The unit is paired with the phone and I can use it for phone calls and music, but it refuses to work with the App. I upgraded the firmware to v5.1.2, but that made no difference. Any ideas?

If your Sena Android app isn't connecting to your headset, ensure Bluetooth is enabled on your phone and headset. Restart both devices, update the app and firmware, and try reconnecting. Also, check app permissions. If issues persist, reset the headset and consult Sena support for further troubleshooting.

Hey Witek, I’ve run into a similar issue before. Sometimes the app gets stuck if the firmware on the headset or the app itself is outdated. Try updating both the Sena app and your 10U headset firmware. Also, make sure no other device is connected to the headset via Bluetooth. A factory reset on the headset might help too — it's like hitting a reset to connection features again. Hope that works for you!
