20S phone button will not initiate a voice dial
I have a 20S, Garmin Zumo 595LM and an iPhone 7. If I pair the iPhone directly to the Sena, everything works fine. Once I confirmed everything was working over with the headset, I deleted the BT profile for the Sena on my iPhone and reset the Sena to virgin state before I paired the Sena to my Garmin directly. I also paired my iPhone to the Garmin directly so as to take full advantage of the Garmin Zumo's full capabilities. This is where the problem comes in. If I wish to initiate a call using the phone button on the Sena, nothing happens! If a call comes in, I can answer it with the phone button but I can't initiate a call with it. This makes no sense at all. I had a Scala Rider Q2 and G4 with a 660 and multiple iPhones in years past and everything worked flawlessly. I contacted Sena about this issue and they provided steps which they said would resolve the issue. Suffice to say it didn't. After numerous email (many of which unanswered), I called and spoke to someone else. He also stated that this should work but couldn't explain why it didn't. He said he would escalate it. I later received a message from the original person who has provided steps to resolve the issue and now he states that the unit cannot provide that function! This is insane! So I'm left with a headset that in the event I have to make a call and if I'm in a group where I cannot pull over, I'm forced to take my eyes off the road and initiate the call from the GPS phone app. The solution that they've provided is to pair my iPhone directly to the Sena which obviously will provide voice dialing (as stated at the beginning of this message) but I lose all the advanced features of having it connected through the Garmin. I'm not clear whether this reply by Sena's rep is correct or not (they've missed the mark before) so does anyone else have this setup and had this issue?

I hope I am not speaking out of school here. If I understand you correctly, you have your iPhone connected directly to the Zumo, and the 20S connected directly to the Zumo. When you do this, unless I am mistaken you *cannot* control the iPhone with the phone button on the Sena because the Sena is not paired to the iPhone. Calls must be answered or initiated on the Zumo menu screen. This makes sense since the Sena is not paired directly to the iPhone -- only to the Zumo. If you want to use the Phone button to answer and initiate calls you must pair the iPhone to the 20S rather than the Zumo. Both options have their advantages.
