Sena Outride Helmet - Difficulty Initiating Intercom Connections
I'm encountering an issue with my Sena Outride helmet. For the most part, I am extremely satisfied with its performance and functionality; however, I've recently run into some trouble when attempting to use the universal intercom feature.
The problem arises specifically when I try to connect to a friend's V6 Pro headset using the universal intercom. We have successfully paired our devices, and the intercom connection works flawlessly when he initiates the connection. Unfortunately, the situation takes a frustrating turn when I attempt to initiate the connection.
When I make an effort to initiate the connection, I hear two low-pitched beeps, which are usually followed by the voice prompt stating "intercom failed". But in this instance, I don't receive any such verbal notification - only the two beeps. Following this, the device seems to refuse all further connection attempts. Regardless of the device I try to connect with, I am met with the same two low beeps and lack of voice prompt.
Furthermore, when others attempt to connect with my headset, I receive a series of four high-pitched beeps in quick succession, and the connection fails. Trying to navigate the device menu using the middle button also proves fruitless. I am able to reach the "intercom pairing" option, but I cannot proceed any further to access the configuration menu. Additionally, when I attempt to use the intercom pairing feature, I do not hear the usual connecting noise, characterized by alternating high and low-pitched beeps.
The only workaround I've found so far is to power off the helmet and reboot it, which is not a practical long-term solution.

Hello Stefan West
I apologize for the inconvenience you're facing while pairing with your friend via universal pairing. Sometimes, such issues can be caused by the opposite device rather than the SENA Device itself. However, if you haven't experienced this problem before while pairing with their V6 Pro, it might be a concern.
I have a few questions to better understand the situation:
- Has the pairing ever worked before with the V6 Pro?
- Could you test if intercom pairing works with other Sena devices?
- Would it be possible for your friend to check with the V6 Pro manufacturer if they support Sena devices?
Even though our devices offer universal pairing, some non-Sena devices might not be compatible with it.
