SC2 Battery pass through

Regarding your question about the SC2, The reason for this is primarily safety-related. When devices are charged while being used, they tend to generate more heat, which can potentially lead to overheating issues. To prevent any potential safety hazards, we don't allow the SC2 to be charged while it's in use as the battery pack is mounted to the back of the helmet usually internally mounted.
On the other hand, SENA external devices like the 20S and 50S series are designed differently. They are side-mounted externally on the helmet, which allows for the function of charging while in use. This design helps to mitigate any potential heat-related concerns.
I hope this clarifies things for you. If you have any further questions or concerns, feel free to ask.

This cant be true. The same happened to me, I was using 50r, decided to go for C5 with SC2. But I didnt even think that it would not be possible to charge and use it on same time. Come on! It is not mounted inside, it is just placed in space for it, it is still more than half of it outside! Or just set a limit, normally it is using about 3 watt to charge, so limit it to 1,5 watt while being used. But this is really step back. Big step back. We need this feature and I hope it would be allowed in next firmware release.

So basically you at sena screwed up and are trying to cover up your mistakes? That's a very lame excuse! I brought this and the helmet because I already have your products, which I really liked, but the sc2 is rubbish! Battery discharges even when off (yes i have a ticket for that but you haven’t replied yet) and as for the 18 months the side switch is supposed to last don’t make me laugh! Ive gone though more batteries to were i now either don’t put one in or turn it around because it seems to never turn off, i really feel that i have been sold very expensive rubbish form sena, looks like packtalk are starting to look like the better company

Is there any chance that this could be fixed? Or just make it as an option in settings to enable it manualy.

I don’t think they will listen, but it would be a good feature, then the onus is on the user and not sena

This is the end of sena for me. I’ve just bought the new AGV tour modular helmet and the Cardo unit that fits inside it as passed through unlike the SC2 of Schubert which I think is ridiculous. Why is it that one can and one can’t? They also find it ridiculous in this day and age that Cardo and Sena can’t even speak to each other🤔
