I am also having this problem. Similar setup: Sena 4.0, iPod Touch 4th gen 5.1.1 Had several missed calls and simply assumed I was in the elevator or something. Turns out, SMH10 is not ringing!

Downgraded to firmware 3.3, and now it is working as it should: Incoming call fades the music, and it rings. To add to stuartv's observations: With 4.0, once music is played through the iPod, even for a moment and paused, SMH10 does not respond in anyway to incoming calls. No fading, no ringing in the background. If SMH10 is turned off and on again, it WILL ring. Once music is played, however, it will not ring again. Tried resetting to factory settings, deleting all pairing, etc. with same results. Have a pair of SMH10 and they behave exactly the same. Tried not using A2DP and HTP, but cannot reliably connect both the phone and the iPod without using those protocols. Waiting to hear back from support.

Hey, Thomas, just FYI, after I opened this issue with Sena Support, they sent me an updated firmware (that still says it's v4.0), that fixed the problem. My SMH10 works just fine now with my phone, iPod Touch, and other SMH10s...

Thanks, Stuart, that's good to hear. I've forgotten how painfully slow intercom pairing is with 3.3. Cheers.
