    This is an interesting issue....

There's some devices in the market, but usually, You have to use two brands... which leads to the point, "manufacturers can't know how the other brand works".

Partially right, but personally, at least,  I'd like to hear how the other side (headset/two-way radio designer) thinks, it should work.

Yes you can.  I'm using the Motorola MU350R, its waterproof as well.  Radio links to the SMH10 with no issue so I assume this will be the same with the SMH5.  The issue was getting a PPT on the handle bar to work.  Took some research and I made my own PPT.  This issue is that Motorola uses a proprietary PIN size M6 which is almost impossible to find.  In a nutshell,

Using a M6 Stereo Pin, the PPT is activated with the center contact.
Bought this from Planet Headset since the M6 pin is impossible to find as a consumer. Cut the wires after the curl and the ground and white wire are the trigger (cut off the blue and red not needed). $24.00
Then used an Air Rider PPT (waterproof) from Sierra Electronics $20.00 cut to length desired.
Soldered, white to white, bare ground to bare ground, used glued shrink tubing to make it all waterproof.
Works like a charm, Bluetooth communications (receive and send) in the helmet with a PPT to the FRS.
See attached files for finished product.

Hi Joe. I'm also pairing a pair of MU350R's with some SMH10's.

Did you pair the MU350R's with the universal intercom or with the multipoint pairing?

The goal is to have 4 SMH10's all paired together to do a four-way intercom with 2 of the SMH10's paired to the MU350R's. This is for 4 snowmobiles which you always ride together in-line. The leader often gets too far from the last person for the short range intercom to work. The GMRS radios are great to make sure we can maintain reception through terrain and woods.

HFP connection to the Sena.  Second mobile phone pairing should work for this.  I have a SR10 two way radio adapter for my two way radio and that is the preferred method.  The Mu350R bluetooth should connect in the same fashion.  When in intercom mode you will hear radio as well as intercom and be able to communicate via ptt through the radio.  When you activate the ptt your communication goes thru the radio but it does not go over the intercom so your partners on intercom will not hear you talking on the radio.

Frankly, I would get two more MU350R's, ditch the 4way intercom and use two way radio communication only.
