Is there any performance difference between wired and boom mic?

I have the SMH10-11 that comes with the universal microphone baseplate.

I am trying to determine which microphone to install. I have a full-face helmet. Both the wired and boom microphone easily fit in my helmet, and I have no particular preference to using either one.

I am wondering if there is any sound quality benefit to choosing one over the other?

  I know the 20S install video says to always use the boom mic if possible and that is what they also recommend for a full face ... wired is for modular helmet. I suspect its more for durability as it appears the mic's themselves are the same.
