Prism camera storage
The new Prism camera looks interesting, particularly since it allows operation while charging - a 'must have' feature for serious use on the motorcycle. But I can find no mention of where/how it stores the recorded video, only that it has a 2 hour record time. This is a useless statistic as whatever storage it uses, the length of time it can record will be dependent on the chosen video mode.
So what does it use? Is it some internal memory or external/removable like SD card? If the latter, then what is the max. size it can work with and if the former - WHY? For what looks like a really nice camera, to be stuck with fixed storage would be a real let down.
Before I get too excited/disappointed, can anyone please confirm the Prism's file storage system?

@Ken: The Prism uses a removable micro-SD cards for storage. The storage size of the micro-SD card doesn't matter as the maximum recording time for a single video is 2 hours as mentioned due to the battery life of the Prism so that it won't run out of power while the video is recording for longer than 2 hours.

Thanks for the reply. Micro-SD card storage sounds ideal. I'm not sure what the biggest currently available is. 64GB? There'll be 128GB soon no doubt. Will they work in the Prism?
Battery life is not really relevant here as ideally on the bike it would be powered from the bike. But I'm wondering how many Micro-SD cards I would need on a week long trip. Is there any way the camera can offload video files from it's Micro-SD card to e.g. a large USB HD without the use of a computer?

Good question. i know it depends on what quality you record at. On my Sony I used to record at 720p to maximize my card space. The test I did with the prism was 1080p. I recorded 19 minutes and 20 seconds and that took 1.87gb. So my rough math is that a 32gb card will get you 5.25 hours at 1080p. Can we get any official ratings on this from sena? Minutes per GB at different qualities. 0 -
We have created a FAQ section for the Prism with that question being one of the topics here: http://support.sena.com/entries/59824534-What-are-the-recording-times-for-the-Sena-Prism-for-each-size-of-a-SD-card-

The FAQ shows that a 32GB card would be good for 4.5 hours.
You're right in that the information online does NOT mention anywhere what the storage media is and that's rather unbelievable. Before ordering i had to know the answer and i downloaded the user guide and somewhere inside that guide there is proof of the card support. You'll note that even though it's been mentioned here and elsewhere, the promo information still doesn't have this.

Why is it so damn hard to get a straight answer from Sena? I just got the prism, and nowhere can I find the maximum capacity supported by the prism lite. Battery life has no impact on capacity, only per video. Very few people bring a computer with them, and download their video every day while on a trip. But, we do charge the units every day.
What is the largest capacity SD memory card supported???

Well, I just ordered a couple 64GB cards. I hope they work.
