Underwater use?

There is nothing in the user manual to address this, but since the waterproof housing is good to 40m, am I correct in assuming that I'm safe to do some snorkeling or scuba with the camera securely in the housing?  I'd like to use it for this in addition to motorcycling, which is the main focus.  It also looks like the two large, raised discs on the top of the housing are the way to actuate the mode and off/on actions while in the housing.....please confirm or correct.  Thanks!

  As the Prism was not intended for that kind of activity be cautious when using the Prism inside the waterproof case for snorkeling or scuba diving. If the Prism gets damaged while enjoying those activities then please contact our Technical Support department for warranty service. Secondly, yes the spring loaded discs on the top of the waterproof case are for operating the Mode button and the Shot button on the Prism.
