I had suddenly developed that problem with my 20s awhile back.  I did a factory reset (with unit on, pushing a pin in the back hole to push the reset switch then allowing the unit to turn off by itself).  When I turned the unit back on everything went back to normal for both phone, music and intercom volumes.

I have exactly the same problem with my 20s

And I am already quite scared several times when SENA suddenly shouted at me or the "Peep" gave me the rest when I started the search for a new radio station. This is so loud! You have the feeling that the drumhead bursts.

I am of the opinion that this is extremely dangerous, because it really hurts.

I'm glad to have found this note with the reset. So far, I have tried it only with decoupling the devices. What unfortunately did not bring any improvement.

I'm going to try this evening. Many Thanks!

I have the same issues with the sound level resetting everytime i get a call. If im playing music and receive a call the ringtone is the highest and everytime i have to lower it down with the jog dial. The sound is so piercing that my ears go mute for a couple of secs. This is a serious flaw and Sena should take a note before someone files a suit for damaging hearing.

I just bought the Sena 20s and i am having the same issues... Talk about becoming startled when your phone rings begin screaming through the speakers when listening to music through bluetooth. Damn near made me loose control of my bike.

I am going to try the factory reset, but I dont think thats going to help from all the trouble I keep reading about. If i cannot fix it, I will be returning my Sena for a refund. I dont see any enjoyment in become startled when driving...

UPDATE: The factory reset did not fix my issue. I have submitted a ticket for SENA for review. I believe my unit may be defective and requires replacement.

Start the Sena and connect to your phone without having a music app running, the lower the volume for the voice of the Sena.

Make a phonecall to someone, and lower the volume while talking.

I had this problem while playing music and getting very loud beep when trying to pause it.

I fixed my problem by disable "Navigation App Support", pause the music, reset to factory settings (through the app).

Now when i play music again, the volume is increased and the beep volume seem to decrease slightly.

I just tried this on the couch, but I hope it is permanently fixed.

I discovered that this issue happens only when connected to an iPhone and a foolproof solution to this problem is to go into the iPhone Settings --> Sounds & Haptics --> Headphone Safety.

Turn the Reduce Loud Sounds option off.

Music starts blasting on the Sena20S Evo.. Now I have to reduce the volume level while riding...

iPhone and its safety features are baffling!!!
